Tabari Artspace Brings Four Middle Eastern Artists to Frieze's No.9 Cork Street
Tabari Artspace presents Afterglow: From the Residue of a Departed Sun, a group exhibition with Maitha Abdalla, Omar Kholeif, Mohamed Monaiseer and Randa Maddah, at Frieze's No.9 Cork Street in London from 30 October to 21 November 2026.
Tabari Artspace is presenting a group exhibition at Frieze's No.9 Cork Street in Mayfair, London. Afterglow: From the Residue of a Departed Sun opened on 30 October 2026 and runs to 21 November, sharing the space with a solo show by Jack Penny presented by The Dot Project.
The exhibition brings together four artists: Maitha Abdalla, Omar Kholeif, Mohamed Monaiseer and Randa Maddah. Their works are shown under a title that evokes what remains after light has gone — the residue of a departed sun — a theme the participating artists approach from different directions across painting, sculpture and installation. The show is a group presentation rather than a single-artist statement, and its interest lies in how four distinct practices circle the same image of afterglow, memory and aftermath.
Tabari Artspace, founded in Dubai in 2002, has spent more than two decades presenting contemporary art from the Middle East and North Africa to international audiences. Its programme has long worked to bridge the region's art with the wider art world, showing artists from Egypt and across the Arab world in dialogue with global currents. Its Cork Street presentation continues that work in London, one of the cities where the gallery has built its audience over the years.
No.9 Cork Street is Frieze's Mayfair space for short-term exhibitions by global galleries, launched in October 2021. The opening reception was held on 29 October. Afterglow: From the Residue of a Departed Sun is on view at 9 Cork Street, London, until 21 November 2026.
