CLAMP in New York presents Sin pena, a solo exhibition of recent paintings and ceramics by Jean Paul Mallozzi-Diaz, on view from 6 November to 23 December 2026. The show brings together two sides of the artist's practice in a single presentation, pairing work on canvas with work in clay.

The Spanish title translates loosely as without sorrow, a phrase that can also carry a sense of being unburdened or free from grief, and it sets a tone for the exhibition without spelling out its meaning. Mallozzi-Diaz's pairing of painting and ceramics suggests a practice that moves between two-dimensional image-making and the physical, hands-on process of working with clay, two modes that ask different things of both artist and viewer.

The exhibition runs alongside Studio Nudes, a group show on view at the gallery over the same dates, giving visitors two distinct presentations to take in on a single visit. The pairing places a focused solo show of new work next to a broader group survey, a combination that allows the gallery to show both an individual artist's current direction and a wider conversation among several artists at once.

Sin pena is Mallozzi-Diaz's latest presentation with CLAMP, and its November opening places the show in the gallery's autumn programme as the year draws towards its close. The exhibition remains on view through 23 December, offering New York audiences several weeks to see the new paintings and ceramics before the gallery's year ends.
