Art Moves Into the World's Most Heavily Guarded Border: DMZ OPEN Festival Opens With 14 Artists on the Korean Peninsula's Fault Line
Gyeonggi Province's 2026 DMZ OPEN Festival runs from 12 October to 29 November at Paju Imjingak Pyeonghwa Nuri and venues across Goyang, combining an art exhibition, a four-part international music festival and an eco-peace forum. Fourteen artists from Korea and abroad reinterpret the demilitarized zone as a stage of memory, ecology and coexistence.
