Miu Miu hands Art Basel Paris public programme to filmmaker Alice Diop for a 'consolation' installation at the Palais d'Iena
French filmmaker Alice Diop has created Geste de Consolation, a multimedia installation at the Palais d'Iena in Paris running 21 to 25 October, commissioned by Miuccia Prada as Miu Miu's third Public Program project for Art Basel Paris. The work assembles film, photography, sculpture, dance, music and live readings around how Black women have been represented in Western visual culture.
