Nara's Wide-Eyed Children Return for a Third Stella McCartney Collection
Designer Stella McCartney and artist Yoshitomo Nara have unveiled their third limited-edition collaboration, A Rock'n'Roll Forest, spanning ready-to-wear, vegan bags, shoes and accessories, launching globally on November 11.

Designer Stella McCartney and artist Yoshitomo Nara have teamed up again for a third limited-edition collection, themed around what the house calls a rock'n'roll forest. The capsule, announced on November 4, 2026, spans ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes and accessories, carrying Nara's childlike figures and animal motifs across artisan knitwear in responsibly sourced wool, organic cotton jersey separates, handcrafted vegan bags and graphic-printed trainers. McCartney describes the collection as made with entirely responsible materials, continuing the sustainable and cruelty-free approach that has defined the partnership since it began.
The range also includes four exclusive made-to-order styles produced in very limited numbers by the brand's atelier. Among them are vegan handbags, framed hand-crocheted portraits based on archival Nara artworks, and hand-knitted scarves and jumpers. The jumpers are embroidered with Nara's Cutie in the Puddle, from 2024, combining multiple yarns, stitches and hand and machine techniques, with each piece taking more than 60 hours to complete. The collection also features a Stella McCartney x Yoshitomo Nara adidas SPW64 sneaker.
Nara's first fashion collaboration was the capsule he made with McCartney for spring-summer 2021, and the partnership has continued on and off ever since, with a second chapter arriving in late 2022. In this third round, Nara again selected the artworks himself, while McCartney had freedom in how to place them across the garments. The artist's signature wide-eyed children, creatures and countercultural slogans have become a familiar presence in the designer's collections, bridging art, fashion and street culture.
The limited-edition collection launches globally on November 11 on the Stella McCartney website and at boutiques and retailers worldwide, following an exclusive presale. In Tokyo, a four-week pop-up opens the same day at the gallery Isetan The Space in Shinjuku, with an installation and activations on view through December 8. The house has not yet published prices or a full product list, and past Nara pieces have sold through quickly as limited runs.
