Pace lines up November openings for Li Hei Di and Elmgreen & Dragset in New York
Pace will open new solo exhibitions in New York this November: Li Hei Di's first New York solo at 540 West 25th Street and a major new installation by Elmgreen & Dragset at 508 & 510 West 25th Street.
Pace has announced two solo exhibitions opening in New York this November, both running into early 2027. Li Hei Di's first solo exhibition in New York opens at the gallery's 540 West 25th Street space, while Elmgreen & Dragset will debut a major new installation across 508 & 510 West 25th Street. Li Hei Di, born in 1997 in Shenyang and based in London, is known for luminous paintings that blend abstraction and figuration to explore embodiment, displacement and intimacy. The New York presentation will spotlight new works and follows recent exhibitions including 'Tongues of Flare' at Pace's Hong Kong space in 2025 and '700 Nights of Winter' at Pippy Houldsworth Gallery in London in 2024. A catalogue from Pace Publishing will accompany the show. For Elmgreen & Dragset, the November exhibition is the duo's next solo presentation with the gallery and will centre on a major new installation. The Berlin-based pair, who have worked together since 1995, are known for large-scale sculptural environments with a dry wit, from their 2009 Venice Biennale presentation to 'The Nervous System' at Pace New York in 2021. The new show follows their exhibition 'The Alice in Wonderland Syndrome' at Pace Los Angeles in 2025. The two openings form part of Pace's 2026 global exhibition programme, which the gallery announced earlier this year. The gallery's own announcement puts the openings in early November, with Li Hei Di's show at 540 West 25th Street and Elmgreen & Dragset's installation across 508 & 510 West 25th Street, both running into January 2027. The November pair continues a busy autumn for Pace's New York spaces, following September and October exhibitions devoted to Paul Thek's notebooks, David Byrne's photographs and Arlene Shechet's sculptures.
