Nina Kintsurashvili and Yuwei Tu open new shows at Chapter NY
Chapter NY opens two solo presentations on 30 October: Nina Kintsurashvili's Seams in the main gallery and Yuwei Tu's Here is the house. in the side room, both running to 12 December 2026.
Chapter NY opens two solo presentations on Thursday 30 October, giving its Walker Street gallery over to two artists at once. Nina Kintsurashvili's Seams takes the main space, while Yuwei Tu's Here is the house. occupies the side room. Both exhibitions run until 12 December 2026.
The pairing is characteristic of the small Tribeca gallery, which has built its programme around emerging artists and compact, focused presentations. Staging two solos side by side lets the gallery show two distinct bodies of work in a single visit, with the side room offering a more intimate setting for Tu's presentation alongside Kintsurashvili's larger outing.
The openings were listed among the week's new shows in New York listings, with both exhibitions opening on the same evening. The gallery, at 60 Walker Street, has made a habit of such double bills, using its two rooms to keep more than one conversation going at a time.
The new shows follow the gallery's September presentations — Alix Vernet's Landmarks and Giuseppe Francalanza's All of My Angels Wear a Rag: I The Tuner — which closed on 17 October, keeping the turnover of exhibitions at a brisk pace. For both Kintsurashvili and Tu, the shows are a chance to present new work in New York in the run-up to the winter season, and both will remain on view through mid-December. The 30 October opening places the two presentations among the last new exhibitions to open in New York before November, and both were announced on the gallery's homepage, where images of the new work lead the presentation.
