Alex Da Corte's Housepainter II, made in 2025, goes on view at Fondazione Prada in Milan from 28 October, installed on the eighth floor of the Torre as part of the foundation's Atlas display. It will be shown alongside the artist's Mouse Museum (Van Gogh Ear) from 2022, the first time the two works have been presented together.

The pairing brings two of Da Corte's recent large-scale works into a single setting. Housepainter II is the newer of the two, completed in 2025, while Mouse Museum (Van Gogh Ear) dates from 2022; showing them together for the first time lets visitors read the new work against the earlier one and follow the ideas Da Corte has carried between the two projects.

The Torre, Fondazione Prada's tower building, houses Atlas, the foundation's long-term display of works from its collection, and the eighth floor is where the new pairing will be installed. Adding Da Corte to that sequence puts his work in the company of the artists the foundation has chosen to represent its holdings at their most ambitious.

Da Corte has had a busy autumn: he has also been in the news as co-curator of the Whitney Museum's Roy Lichtenstein retrospective, a role that has put his eye as a maker and a curator in the spotlight at the same time. The Milan installation adds a European institutional outing to that run, giving visitors a chance to see his most recent work in the context of a collection display rather than a temporary exhibition.
