Immersive Arts announced a second phase of funding worth £8.5m in September 2026, backing UK artists working with immersive technology through to 2030. The announcement was made at The Big Thing in Llandudno, which ran from 9 to 11 September. Of the total, £4.7m will go directly to artists, supporting new work across immersive and experiential practice. The programme is a collaboration between the Arts and Humanities Research Council, Arts Council England, Arts Council of Wales, Creative Scotland and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland. It represents one of the largest dedicated funding commitments for immersive-technology-led art in the UK.
