The batch leans on October 6 and October 13 publication dates, and spans museum, independent and gallery publishing imprints. The headline title is Brancusi: The Artist and His Studio, published by the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The 160-page hardback, illustrated with 136 tritone plates and measuring 9.5 by 12 inches, is listed at $60 with a publication date of October 13. Also dated October 13 is In the Studio: Louise Bourgeois, a 160-page clothbound volume from Hauser & Wirth Publishers priced at $21.95. Titles dated October 6 include John Giorno: The Performative Word from Mousse Publishing, a 224-page paperback with 123 color and 91 black-and-white illustrations at $45, and Kenny Scharf: Emotional from Skira, a 220-page hardback carrying 200 color plates at $70. Skira also accounts for Reggie Burrows Hodges: Mela ($55) and a new 280-page Georg Baselitz monograph ($75). Other October 6 arrivals include Marisol: When Things Are Just Beginning from La Fábrica ($50), Lynn Hershman Leeson: A History of Her Own from Mousse ($35), Doyle Lane: Master of Clay from Marquand Books ($40), and Damiani's Toilet Paper: Issue 21 ($20). The distributor is also promoting fall book events, including launches of David Jacob Kramer and Michael Schmelling's Handmade Utopia on October 14 and Tom Cole's Chimes on October 22 at McNally Jackson Seaport in New York.
