ART SG has announced the dates for its fifth edition, returning to Marina Bay Sands from January 22 to 24, 2027, with a vernissage on January 21. Presented by founding and lead partner UBS, the fair will once again anchor the 15th edition of Singapore Art Week, the city-state's flagship arts festival. Alongside ART SG, S.E.A. Focus — the curated platform for Southeast Asian art — will stage its ninth edition, once again curated by John Tung with programming of conversations and tours. The upcoming edition will also feature the second year of the ART SG FUTURES Prize, which awards $10,000 to an outstanding emerging artist presented in the FUTURES sector; the inaugural prize went to Filipino-Canadian artist Marigold Santos. The fair is expanding its footprint beyond the convention centre with an 11-day offsite immersive activation by Thai artist Pinaree Sanpitak at 72-13, developed with Artspace Sydney, plus returning institutional programming such as the SAM ART SG Fund and the TVS South Asian Art Initiative. Tickets go on sale in October 2026. The 2027 edition is timed to coincide with Singapore's ASEAN chairmanship, positioning the fair at the intersection of art and regional diplomacy. For collectors, the January dates continue to make ART SG the first major fair of the calendar year — a position that has given it outsized influence in setting the tone for Southeast Asian contemporary art demand. The fair's rise has been rapid: since its inaugural edition in 2023 drew 43,000 visitors, it has become the region's most important commercial art platform. The 2027 programming, with its expanded offsite activations and continued UBS partnership, signals that ART SG intends to deepen — not just defend — that position.
