The Collezione Casamonti has opened its new permanent home at Palazzo San Giorgio on the Lungarno in Florence, bringing together around 250 works by major Italian and international artists in a single exhibition for the first time. The collection, built over more than 50 years by Florentine gallery owner Roberto Casamonti alongside his work with the Tornabuoni Arte galleries, spans from the late 19th century to the present day. Artists represented range from Picasso, Kandinsky and Dalí to Warhol, Basquiat, Kiefer and Cattelan. The restored 19th-century building at Lungarno Serristori 17 opened to the public on 28 September 2026.
