Torkwase Dyson Opens Major Solo Exhibition at Kunsthaus Bregenz
Kunsthaus Bregenz has opened a solo exhibition by artist Torkwase Dyson, designated KUB 2026.03. The show opened on 17 October 2026, following a Friday evening preview on 16 October, and runs through 24 January 2027.
Kunsthaus Bregenz has opened a solo exhibition by Torkwase Dyson, the institution's third major presentation of 2026, designated KUB 2026.03. The show opened on Saturday 17 October 2026, following a public preview on Friday 16 October at 7 pm, and will run through 24 January 2027.
The announcement came directly from the museum's own channels, with installation views from the ground floor already circulating. As with each of Kunsthaus Bregenz's signature presentations, the exhibition is conceived for the building's distinctive concrete architecture, giving the artist the full vertical volume of Peter Zumthor's landmark to work with.
Dyson's practice is built around geometric abstraction as a language for thinking about space, infrastructure and Black spatial liberation. Working across drawing, painting, sculpture and installation, she has developed a vocabulary of arcs, rectangles and linear systems that trace histories of movement, enclosure and release. A museum-scale solo in Bregenz marks a significant institutional moment for the artist in continental Europe.
The Bregenz opening extends a busy season for the museum, whose programme of architecturally integrated solo exhibitions remains one of the most closely watched in Europe. The Dyson show stays on view through the winter, closing on 24 January 2027. Installation views released with the announcement show the artist's work installed across the ground floor, setting the tone for the full presentation above.
For visitors, the timing is straightforward: a Friday evening preview at 7 pm opened the show on 16 October, with public hours beginning the following day. The exhibition is listed on the museum's own events page, confirming its place as the institution's autumn headliner.
