Tina Kim Gallery in New York is presenting Double Vision, Maia Ruth Lee's second solo exhibition with the gallery, from 10 September to 24 October 2026. Taking its title from Homi K. Bhabha's The Location of Culture, the show interrogates migration as simultaneous perception — inhabiting both the place left behind and the place occupied. New paintings from Lee's Bondage Baggage series treat the suitcase as a vessel of memory, absence and aspiration, alongside latex sculptures preserving the imprint of bound bundles, expandable-luggage forms sewn with family video stills, and a newly commissioned video installation drawing on home footage recorded by the artist's parents in Nepal and Korea.
