Thaddaeus Ropac Takes 32 Artists to Art Basel Paris 2026 at Booth C21
Thaddaeus Ropac will present 32 artists at Booth C21 of Art Basel Paris 2026 (October 20–25), from Beuys, Rauschenberg, Bourgeois and Soulages to Casteel, Ghenie and Yan Pei-Ming, alongside a full Paris Art Week programme in its Marais and Pantin galleries and museum shows across the city.

Thaddaeus Ropac will bring 32 artists to Art Basel Paris 2026, occupying Booth C21 when the fair returns to the Grand Palais from October 20 to 25. The stand reads as a condensed version of the gallery's programme: post-war heavyweights such as Joseph Beuys, Robert Rauschenberg, Lucio Fontana, Louise Bourgeois, Pablo Picasso, Pierre Soulages, Emilio Vedova and Giacomo Balla hang alongside Pop and contemporary names including Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Georg Baselitz, Alex Katz, Joan Mitchell, Robert Longo, George Condo and Tony Cragg, with younger voices — Jordan Casteel, Lisa Brice, Ali Banisadr, Adrian Ghenie, Liza Lou, Heemin Chung and Yan Pei-Ming — rounding out the roster.
Around the fair, the gallery's two Paris spaces are running a full Paris Art Week programme. In the Marais, Jordan Casteel's Winter Sun opens on October 19 and runs to December 23 — the artist's first exhibition in France — while Günther Uecker's Verletztes Feld closes on October 31. Over in Pantin, David Salle's The Venice Paintings opens October 21 and runs to December 23, and Anselm Kiefer's Nymphäum stays on view through October 25.
Ropac artists are also spread across the city's museums this month. Ali Banisadr shows at the Musée national Gustave Moreau (through December 7) and Elizabeth Peyton at the Musée du Louvre (through December 14). Sean Scully joins the Grand Palais's Cézanne et nous (through January 17, 2027), Oliver Beer and Harun Farocki take over Le Large in Boulogne-Billancourt with Moteur Imaginaire (through March 7, 2027), and Han Bing and Eva Helene Pade bring PROJECT 12 to the Palais Garnier (October 21–30). Alex Katz is at the Musée Marmottan Monet with Histoires de paysages, de Monet à Hockney (through January 31, 2027), while Irving Penn is honoured with three concurrent shows: at the MEP (through January 17), the Bourse de Commerce (through January 28) and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs (through April 4).
Art Basel Paris preview days run October 20–22 by invitation, with public days October 23–25.
