The Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam opened its long-planned Yayoi Kusama survey on 11 September, covering seven decades of the artist's practice. Following Kusama's death, the exhibition has been reframed as a memorial tribute. The retrospective traces her trajectory from early gestural painting to the immersive installations and performance work she became known for worldwide.
