Statens Museum for Kunst, Denmark's national gallery in Copenhagen, has announced a DKK 70.5 million redesign covering 6,700 square metres of the museum. The project will be delivered in phases, with new spaces opening between 2027 and 2029, and the museum will remain open throughout the works. The redesign addresses visitor flow, accessibility and display conditions across the collection spanning centuries of Danish and international art. The investment is one of the most significant recent commitments to a Danish cultural institution's physical infrastructure.
