The exhibition gathers Such a Morning (2017-19), The Peacock's Graveyard (2023), and the world premiere of The Charcoal Man (2026), a new seven-screen installation shaped by memory, violence and the legacy of Partition. Kanwar conceived the three works as a single site-specific installation rather than separate pieces, with light levels kept deliberately low to slow visitors down. His films draw on more than three decades of practice moving between documentary, fiction and visual poetry, rooted in the history and politics of the Indian subcontinent. The show runs until 31 January 2027 with free admission.
