The Vienna Secession participated in Austria's Tag des Denkmals on 27 September 2026 with free guided tours of its landmark building. Framed as the Secession as a living monument, the tours explored the 1898 building by Joseph Maria Olbrich, its Beethoven Frieze by Gustav Klimt and the institution's continuing role as an artist-run exhibition space. The open monument day gave visitors behind-the-scenes access to one of Vienna's most significant art nouveau landmarks and a still-active centre of contemporary art. The event formed part of a nationwide programme of free heritage access.
