Tanya Bonakdar Gallery in New York has opened two solo exhibitions, both running from 5 November to 18 December 2026. Rita Lundqvist presents new work in what is her fourth exhibition with the gallery and her first there in around a decade, while Sandra Cinto presents The Path to Stars.
The pairing gives the gallery's New York space over to two painters at different points in their relationship with the gallery: Lundqvist returning after a long gap, and Cinto presenting a new body of work under a title that points upward, toward the night sky and the distances it suggests.
Solo exhibitions are the gallery's core format, and a double opening of this kind lets two distinct practices share the building without competing: each artist holds her own space, and visitors move between two separate, self-contained presentations.
Both shows run through to 18 December, closing the gallery's autumn programme in New York before the winter break. Lundqvist's return after roughly ten years away from the gallery's walls is the quieter story of the two, a resumption rather than a debut, and Cinto's Path to Stars supplies the second half of a two-part opening night.
A double solo opening of this kind gives each artist a separate, self-contained presentation while letting the two shows share an opening night and a run. Visitors encounter Lundqvist's return and Cinto's new work as two distinct statements under one roof, and both remain on view through the middle of December, closing the gallery's autumn programme in New York.
