The Rijksmuseum and the Mauritshuis have announced a joint acquisition of an iconic winter landscape by Hendrick Avercamp, Colf Players on the Ice. The two institutions pooled resources to secure the painting, continuing a tradition of shared stewardship of Dutch Golden Age highlights. A public display around the acquisition opens in Kampen on 3 October 2026.
