The Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid has presented its 2026–27 programme, headlined by nine temporary exhibitions, eight of which focus on women artists. The plan strengthens the museum's commitment to rebalancing art history, alongside an expanded live arts programme, a rehanging of the permanent collection and an active loans policy. The programme continues the museum's effort to position itself as a reference point for feminist and decolonial museology in Europe. Announced on 7 September 2026, it sets the agenda for one of Spain's most visited museums over the coming two seasons.
