Portland Monthly previews 'The Stars We Do Not See: Australian Indigenous Art,' presented at the Portland Art Museum from September 5, 2026 through January 3, 2027. Organized by the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne and the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, the exhibition gathers 147 works by more than 100 artists, from ochre bark paintings and weavings to new-media and sound installations. The Portland presentation is the only West Coast stop on the North American tour.
