Pilar Corrias will present a focused booth of new work by three painters at Frieze London, taking Booth C19 at the fair. The presentation features Sholto Blissett, Rachel Rose and Georg Wilson, and opens with the VIP preview on 14-15 October before the public days on 16-18 October. The three artists share a common starting point: the visual language of early modern British landscape painting. Each reworks tropes drawn from that tradition — rolling countryside, hedgerows, changing light — into something stranger and less settled, bending familiar scenery toward alternative and distorted visions of the environment we live in. The booth includes Blissett's Life in deep time, flow (2026), Rose's The Rest, 5:30PM (2026) and Wilson's The Silent Hedgerow (2026), all new works made for the fair. Together they suggest a landscape that is less a backdrop than a living, shifting force — one shaped by deep time, daily rhythms and human pressure. The single-gallery booth sits within a Frieze week in which several London galleries are staging tightly curated presentations around one art-historical conversation rather than broad group surveys. Pilar Corrias, which has spaces at 51 Conduit Street and 2 Savile Row in London, pairs the fair booth with a full programme at home, including exhibitions by Rirkrit Tiravanija, Mary Ramsden and Tschabalala Self.
