Perrotin will open three exhibitions across its two Paris spaces this week, headlined by solo presentations from Lee Bae and Alma Allen at 76 rue de Turenne, both opening with a vernissage on Saturday 17 October (4–8pm) and running to 19 December 2026. Lee Bae's 'Attending' marks the Korean artist's ninth solo exhibition with Perrotin, following a year of major institutional presentations at Museum SAN in Wonju, the He Art Museum in Shunde and the Abbaye de Beaulieu-en-Rouergue in France. The show presents recent work including monumental sculptures, an in situ installation, a new body of work from his 'Brushstrokes' series and a performance video — continuing his decades-long practice of charring wood into mosaic-like assemblages and carbon-black abstractions that blur drawing, painting and sculpture. Alma Allen's exhibition is his first solo show with Perrotin, arriving months after he represented the United States at the 61st Venice Biennale with 'Call Me the Breeze'. The self-taught Utah-born, Mexico-based sculptor presents a new series of mural works and sculptures in wood and stone, finished by hand-sanding and polishing until the material seems to change states — a practice that carried him from selling hand-carved miniatures on the streets of SoHo to the 2014 Whitney Biennial. From 19 October, the gallery's Matignon space hosts 'Panorama', a wide group exhibition of gallery artists including Jean-Marie Appriou, Iván Argote, Hernan Bas, Sophie Calle, Johan Creten and Wim Delvoye, running to 16 January 2027. Together, the three openings make Perrotin's Paris programme one of the densest of the Art Basel Paris week: two career-marking solo presentations at the historic rue de Turenne space and a roster-wide survey at Matignon. The timing is pointed — with the international art world in Paris for the fair, the gallery is staging its most ambitious autumn line-up in the city, pairing an established Korean master at the height of his institutional recognition with a sculptor whose Venice Biennale appointment made him one of the most debated figures of the year.
