Monya Rowe Gallery is presenting 'Everything the Light Touches,' a solo exhibition of new paintings by Erin Milez, running September 10 through October 24, 2026. The exhibition gathers Milez's densely populated canvases, in which throngs of figures — denizens of a crowded city — press against one another within tightly packed compositions. The paintings read as compressed panoramas of urban coexistence: bodies, gestures and glances overlapping until the picture plane feels as full as a rush-hour street. Despite their density, the works are held together by a consistent attention to light and color that gives the crowds their charge. The show positions Milez among a younger generation of figurative painters working out what the city feels like when seen all at once.
