The Museum of Contemporary Art and Design (MCAD) Manila is marking 200 years since Niepce captured 'View from the Window at Le Gras' in 1826 with a free public screening program titled 'Photography After The Moment: The Image as Experience.' The screenings run September 25, 2026, from 1 to 6 p.m. at the David M. Consunji Ideation Room at the Atrium @ Benilde in Malate. The lineup reflects on the evolving nature of the photographic image through docu-dramas and shorts: Chris Marker's sci-fi drama 'La Jetee' (1962), the beat-era short 'Pull My Daisy' (1959) by Robert Frank and Alfred Leslie, Agnes Varda's 'The Gleaners and I' (2000) and Chantal Akerman's 'News From Home' (1976). Part of the MCADxMoving Image program, the event is free and open to the public, with registration through the museum's channels.
