Mazzoleni teamed up with fellow Italian gallery Massimo De Carlo for the third edition of 'Italy at Frieze', staged by the Italian Embassy in Seoul and the Italian Cultural Institute alongside Frieze Seoul 2026, which ran September 2–5. Curated by Valentina Bucci, the exhibition 'The Golden Trace' opened September 1 at the Italian ambassador's residence in Hannam-dong, pairing works by Italian artist Andrea Francolino with Korean artist Lee Soo-kyung. The theme plays on crack and gold — Lee's 'Translated Vase' series mends broken pottery with gold, while Francolino's 'M' series joins broken concrete and gold — framed as a space for ethical reflection, change and regeneration between the two countries' art scenes.
