Lehmann Maupin opens THIRTY at No. 9 Cork Street in Mayfair, London, on 5 November 2026, running to 9 January 2027. The group exhibition brings together works by the gallery's UK-based artists to mark thirty years since the gallery was founded in New York in 1996.

Eight artists feature: Rana Begum, Billy Childish, Freya Douglas-Morris, Mandy El-Sayegh, Gilbert & George, Shirazeh Houshiary, Chantal Joffe and Do Ho Suh. The gallery presents the show as a celebration of the longstanding relationships and sustained commitment that have shaped its presence in the UK and its contribution to London's cultural landscape.

The anniversary lands in a year of consolidation for the gallery in London. In January it announced a permanent gallery space in Mayfair alongside the representation of British artist Freya Douglas-Morris, whose solo exhibition inaugurated the 2026 season there. The gallery has said its 2026 London programme foregrounds women artists, reflecting a longer mission of introducing artists to new geographies.

The anniversary year has been a busy one for the gallery. Founded in New York in 1996 by Rachel Lehmann and David Maupin, it has spent 2026 marking the milestone across its programme, from Do Ho Suh's presentation at Frieze Seoul and his survey at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul to eight of its artists showing at the Venice Biennale. In Seoul, the year also brought the first retrospective of Kim Yun Shin's seventy-year career at the Hoam Museum of Art.

THIRTY is the gallery's own birthday party, but it also reads as a statement of intent: three decades in, Lehmann Maupin is underlining that London, where it now has a permanent home, is central to its future as well as its past.
