Kunsthalle Bremen is hoping to lure autumn visitors with an unusual crowd-pleaser: an exhibition devoted entirely to the dachshund. 'Der Dackel' opens on 31 October 2026 and explores how the short-legged breed has appeared in art across the centuries. The show runs through 28 March 2027 and is pitched as both a playful popular draw and a serious look at a recurring motif. It forms part of Bremen's wider push to attract cultural visitors this autumn.
