Kukje Gallery's sale of a 1971 painting by Yoo Youngkuk for 2.2–2.5 billion won ($1.6–$1.85 million) was the most expensive reported transaction at Frieze Seoul 2026 and the highest price recorded for a Korean artist at the fair since it launched in 2022. The result anchored a strong edition for the Seoul gallery during a fair week that also saw works by Do Ho Suh sell out quickly at Lehmann Maupin.
