Conservation work has begun on Josep Maria Sert's monumental murals in the cathedral of Sant Pere de Vic. The project is led by the Ministry of Culture's heritage conservation body, the IPCE, and started on 24 September 2026. Sert's cycle in Vic is among the most significant large-scale mural programmes in modern Catalan art. The restoration is expected to safeguard the works for future generations while shedding new light on Sert's technique.
