A painting by Bernhard Heisig once thought lost has been traced through research by German cultural institutions, according to Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz. It had been on loan to Berlin’s Nationalgalerie since the late 1980s. The institutions have agreed that the work should return to Dresden’s military history museum.
