Hollybush Gardens opens 'In Relation...', a group exhibition invited by Anne Tallentire, on 13 November 2026, running to 19 December. The show brings together Motunrayo Akinola, George Bularca Negru, A.Mac Giolla Bhride, Eva Richardson McCrea and Luke Samuel, with a preview on Thursday 12 November from 6 to 8pm at the gallery at 1-2 Warner Yard, London.

Rather than a themed survey, the exhibition is a set of relations chosen by one artist: five practices Tallentire wanted to place beside her own. The works span photography, sculpture and works on paper, and the invitation format gives the show the character of a conversation between peers rather than a curated thesis. The ellipsis in the title suits a show that leaves its connections open: the works are placed in relation to one another rather than arranged under a single theme.

Among the works illustrated in the gallery's announcement is A.Mac Giolla Bhride's 'guide (haus mvdr)' (2026), a scanned photograph on tracing paper measuring 92 by 132 centimetres, reproduced courtesy of the artist. Its layered, translucent surface sets the tone for a show concerned with how images and objects sit alongside one another, and how meaning gathers between them.

'In Relation...' runs concurrently with Tallentire's own solo exhibition, 'Begin beginning', in the same gallery and on the same dates. Seen together, the two presentations offer a portrait of an artist in dialogue: new work of her own, and the work of five artists she regards as kin. Visitors can see both exhibitions in a single visit; the gallery is open Wednesday to Saturday, 11am to 6pm.
