Ibraaz has announced its autumn 2026 programme, a season of exhibitions and residencies that brings together sound, installation and library-based research across its spaces in Abu Dhabi. The programme opens on 8 October 2026 and extends into 2027. At Minassa, Gabrielle Goliath presents Elegy, on view from 8 October 2026 to 17 January 2027. At Iqra, the Earshot Library-in-Residence runs from 8 October 2026 to 27 June 2027, continuing the platform's attention to sound as a research medium. Taring Padi's Rakyat Pasti Menang is on view at Majlis until 22 November 2026, while Joe Namy's Cosmic Breath occupies Musalla until 7 March 2027. One thread in the programme considers the adhan as a shared spiritual and sonic practice across place and time. Originally commissioned for the Islamic Arts Biennale in Jeddah in 2023, the sound installation activates the Musalla as a space for both spiritual practice and creative expression, treating the call to prayer as a form of collective listening that travels across geographies. The announcement frames the season as a continuation of Ibraaz's work at the intersection of art, sound and public life in the Gulf. By pairing a South African artist's memorial installation, an Indonesian collective's politically charged banners, a long-term sound library and a work rooted in Islamic sonic tradition, the autumn programme draws connections between mourning, resistance, study and devotion across its four venues. The season's long tail, with residencies and installations running into mid-2027, reflects Ibraaz's commitment to slow research alongside concentrated exhibition moments, giving audiences in the Emirates sustained access to practices often seen only in brief biennial formats.
