Heritage Auctions' Fall Sports Catalog Auction closed at $25,622,938, with results spanning baseball cards, wrestling memorabilia and basketball collectibles. The top lot was a 1909-11 T206 White Border Sweet Caporal Honus Wagner card, graded PSA Authentic (Restored), which sold for $1,982,500. Heritage said the price set a world auction record for a restored T206 Wagner, and brought the house's combined sales from two Wagner cards over the past few months to nearly $8 million.

Professional wrestling produced one of the weekend's most memorable results. The 1985-88 Intercontinental Championship belt worn in turn by Tito Santana, Randy Savage, Ricky Steamboat and the Honky Tonk Man sold for $716,750. The belt's history includes the celebrated WrestleMania III match in 1987 in which Steamboat took the title from Savage. A match-worn and signed Stone Cold Steve Austin knee brace from around 1999 brought $225,700 after drawing 39 bids.

Michael Jordan material was another major force in the sale. A 1997 SP Authentic Sign of the Times Stars and Rookies autograph card, graded PSA 7 with a PSA/DNA Auto 10, sold for $414,800, which Heritage described as a record for any 1997 SP Authentic card. A 1995 SP Top Prospects Jordan autograph from his baseball years reached $317,200, while a 1980 Topps Larry Bird, Julius Erving and Magic Johnson Scoring Leader rookie card, graded SGC Gem Mint 10, sold for $329,400.

The sale also included Shohei Ohtani game-used equipment and a record-setting 1966 Batman card, rounding out a weekend that ranged from the earliest days of card collecting to present-day stars. The breadth of the results, from a restored Wagner that still commanded close to $2 million to modern wrestling and basketball memorabilia, shows how far the sports collectibles market now stretches beyond its traditional baseball-card core.
