Galerie Greta Meert opened its first solo exhibition by American artist Marina Pinsky, 'The Wave(s) or Newton's Rings', on view September 10 through October 31, 2026 at 13 Rue du Canal in Brussels. The show brings together photography, painting and glass sculpture circling optics and light phenomena. The title borrows from Virginia Woolf's 'The Waves' and from Agnes Martin's sculptural work 'The Wave', a touchstone for Pinsky's long-standing interest in games and open-ended sequences. Among the works are 'Dharma Transmission', kiln-slumped glass reliefs of the Alvar Aalto building in Berlin that houses her studio, and 'The Crystal Chain', fused glass waves set over concrete rumble strips so that light interference patterns ripple across the floor.
