KADIST, the non-profit contemporary art organization, has announced its program for October 2026 through February 2027, spanning Paris, Shanghai, and Mexico City. At KADIST Paris, "Archives des invisibles" opens on 10 October and runs through 9 January, a project by Joana Hadjithomas and Khalil Joreige that gathers previously unseen film rushes and sequences by filmmakers and artists from the wider Mediterranean region and France. Accompanied by testimonies from their makers, the material reveals what remains outside the frame — fragments set aside for aesthetic, political, or personal reasons — and explores how forgotten images can be reactivated to connect intimate stories with collective histories. In Shanghai, "Threads of Kinship" runs from November 2026 through March 2027 at Yuz Museum, co-curated by Shona Mei Findlay, Yuan Fuca, and Marie Martraire. The exhibition explores histories of collectivity through material practices of care and chosen kinship across generations and geographies, with textile running through it as a medium of transmission, protection, and transformation. The Shanghai iteration builds on earlier presentations at KADIST Paris and the He Art Museum in Shunde, Guangdong. The season continues into 2027 with "La tierra del medio" at the Museo Universitario del Chopo in Mexico City (30 January–30 May 2027), curated by Miguel López and Emiliano Valdés. Together the three presentations reflect KADIST's model of research-driven exhibitions developed across its network of spaces. KADIST operates as a non-profit contemporary art organization with a Paris space at 21 Rue des Trois Frères and an international program that commissions and collects work engaging social and cultural questions. The autumn-to-spring calendar reflects its model of staging research-driven exhibitions in partner institutions across continents rather than confining its activity to a single venue.
