The Centro de Arte Moderna Gulbenkian in Lisbon has kicked off its season with two exhibitions proposing new ways of imagining the world. 'The Exhibition of a Dream', conceived by Mathieu Copeland and opening September 19, 2026, turns real dreams by creators including Gabriel Abrantes, Lee Ranaldo and Apichatpong Weerasethakul into sound, reimagined as musical compositions performed by guest musicians and members of the Gulbenkian Choir. Inês Zenha's 'Murky Waters' presents adobe, ceramic and water sculptures evoking hybrid bodies and subterranean landscapes. The main gallery also hosts 'Painting Is Easy. Do It Yourself!', curated by João Maria Gusmão from the la Caixa Foundation collection.
