David Zwirner in London is presenting Suchness, the first UK solo exhibition by Japanese artist Daichi Takagi, on view 24 September to 31 October 2026 in the Upper Room. The new paintings blur the boundary between figuration and abstraction, with recurring motifs of trees, stones, rain and the moon. Takagi's approach draws on philosopher Kitaro Nishida's notion of 'pure experience' and Eastern ideas of non-duality. The Organ recommended the show on 24 September 2026.
