Christie's Frieze-week marathon continued on 15 October with two London day sales the morning after its headline evening auctions. Monsoon: The Peter Simon Collection Day Sale, the second live outing for the record-breaking single-owner trove, realised £10,236,800 with a sell-through rate of 97 per cent by lot and by value. Works by Hurvin Anderson, Alighiero Boetti and R.B. Kitaj led the sale. The result extends a run that began the previous evening, when the Monsoon evening sale and the 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale together brought in £218.6 million, making the Simon trove the highest-value single-owner collection ever sold at Christie's London.

The same day's Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale realised £11,819,520, selling 77 per cent by lot and 83 per cent by value. The top three prices went to works by Cecily Brown, Louise Bourgeois and Josef Albers. On 16 October the Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale offered 166 works, led by Theo van Rysselberghe.

Online tranches are still running: another 82 lots from Monsoon: The Peter Simon Collection Online are offered until 20 October, led by Alfred Wallis, Gabriel Orozco and Walead Beshty, while a further 184 lots make up Post-War and Contemporary Art Online, live for bidding until 21 October with works by Ettore Spalletti, Sol LeWitt and Wade Guyton. Looking ahead, the Modern British and Irish Art Evening Sale on 21 October includes 39 works, with top lots by Barbara Hepworth, Henry Moore and Frank Bowling, followed by a 151-work day sale on 22 October.
