California College of the Arts' Campus Gallery is presenting Closer Reading: Three Bay Area Book Artists, on view from 2 September to 23 October 2026. Curated by Anthea Black, associate professor of Printmedia, on behalf of the San Francisco Advocacy for the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the exhibition features Macy Chadwick, Kate Laster and Vivian Sming. Each artist interprets the book as an art form in distinct ways, expanding it as a vehicle for experimentation, collaboration and exchange.
