carlier | gebauer Returns to Art Cologne With Eight Artists and a Deborah Schamoni Collaboration
Berlin gallery carlier | gebauer returns to Art Cologne after many years, showing works by eight artists at booth A-412 in Hall 11.2 from 5 to 8 November 2026, in collaboration with Deborah Schamoni.

Berlin gallery carlier | gebauer has announced its participation in Art Cologne, which runs from 5 to 8 November 2026 at Koelnmesse in Cologne. The gallery will present at Hall 11.2, Booth A-412, marking its return to the fair after many years, this time in collaboration with Munich gallery Deborah Schamoni.
The presentation features works by Anna Bella Geiger, Bracha L. Ettinger, Iman Issa, Abdulhamid Kircher, Julie Mehretu, Laure Prouvost, Nida Sinnokrot and Ian Waelder. The line-up spans several generations of the gallery's programme, from Geiger's work on glacial melt to Mehretu's recent Mind bend drawings and Sinnokrot's Constellation series from 2026. The gallery said the presentation also marks the beginning of new collaborations with fellow galleries and cultural actors.
Art Cologne, founded in 1967 as the world's first fair for modern and contemporary art, stages its 59th edition this November with 164 galleries from 22 countries. The fair has moved from its traditional spring dates to November in recent years, and now anchors the autumn calendar for galleries in Germany and beyond. The first day is typically reserved for trade visitors and journalists. This edition is accompanied by special exhibitions from the LBBW Collection and ZADIK alongside the gallery programme, and three focused artist presentations complement the main fair.
For carlier | gebauer, the Cologne presentation comes as the gallery's Berlin space shows two exhibitions that opened on 10 September: Lucia Koch's New Systems (For Relationships), which has been extended until 6 November, and the group show Animal Mirror, which continues until 14 November.
