The Ateneo Art Gallery is commemorating the 54th anniversary of the declaration of Martial Law in the Philippines with a free public screening of 'Manila's Finest' (2025), directed by Raymond Red. The event takes place on September 22, 2026, at the Leong Hall Auditorium on the Ateneo de Manila University campus. The screening will be followed by a talkback with Red and writers Moira Lang and Sherad Anthony Sanchez, moderated by Oliver Quintana of the Ateneo Martial Law Museum & Library. The film was recently recognized at the Manila International Film Festival for Best Picture (Narrative), Best Actress and Best Cinematography. Co-presented with the university's School of Humanities and MediaQuest, the event forms part of the gallery's Moving Image Program, which uses cinema to open conversations around history, memory and democracy.
