The 2026 Taiwan Design Expo, themed '桃園流' (Taoyuan Flow), held its opening ceremony on September 23, marking the first time the expo has been staged in Taoyuan. Breaking from a single-venue model, the expo centres on three main venues — the Taoyuan Exhibition Center, the Qingpu branch of the Taoyuan Public Library, and the Chung Yuan Cultural and Creative Park — with satellite sites including the Taoyuan Museum of Fine Art's outdoor space, the Children's Art Museum and the Hengshan Calligraphy Art Center. The programme weaves theme exhibitions, outdoor light displays, tours and activities through the old and new districts of Taoyuan, inviting visitors to experience how design walks into the city's streets and daily life. The expo, held since 2003, is presented as a platform for design to enter cities and everyday living.
