Artissima returns to the Oval Lingotto Fiere in Turin for its 33rd edition, titled Fancy: A Flexible, Acrobatic Body, with a preview on 29 October. The fair brings together 180 Italian and international galleries from 35 countries across four continents, with strong representation from Asia, South and Central America, South Africa and the United States. Thirty-three galleries are participating for the first time and 60 are presenting monographic projects. The program spans the Main Section (102 galleries), New Entries (17 young galleries active for less than five years), Monologue/Dialogue (37 experimental stands), Art Editions, and the curated sections Present Future, Back to the Future and Disegni. A €300,000 acquisition fund from Fondazione Arte CRT will benefit the collections of GAM Torino and Castello di Rivoli, while prizes include the illy Present Future Prize, the Diana Bracco – Imprenditrici ad Arte Prize, the Orlane, Tosetti Value, Oelle, Pista 500, Fico and New Entries Fund awards. A new initiative, Moltitudini, installs poet Laura Accerboni as a poet in residence, placing her in dialogue with Turin-based artists Guglielmo Castelli, Sara Enrico, Giorgio Griffa, Marzia Migliora and Laura Pugno in a project the fair describes as a contamination between contemporary poetry and visual art.
