The New Museum reopened its expanded Bowery home this week with the biggest Arthur Jafa survey ever mounted. Titled I Am Tony, the exhibition opened September 24, 2026, and spans four decades of the filmmaker and artist's densely edited meditations on Black American life. The reopening program also includes Diego Marcon, material on the museum's Bowery history, and work by Ho Tzu Nyen.
