Singapore's Artery Offers Early-Career Artists a Five-Year Lifeline: S$2,000 a Month, Mentorship and Overseas Residencies
Singapore non-profit Artery has opened applications for the second cohort of its Artist Accelerator programme, which selects up to six early-career visual artists for five years of financial and professional support, including a monthly stipend, curatorial mentorship and funded overseas residencies. Applications close on 24 November 2026.

Singapore's independent non-profit Artery has launched the open call for the second cohort of its Artist Accelerator (AAA) programme, inviting early-career visual artists who want to build a more sustainable, long-term practice to apply. Up to six artists will be selected for a five-year programme split into two distinct phases.
The first phase runs for 12 months. During it, Artery will pay each artist a monthly stipend of up to S$2,000 and provide curatorial mentorship, business, legal and marketing support, and workspace where available. The second phase covers the following four years, during which artists receive designated annual curatorial hours, sponsorship for selected overseas residencies, and S$10,000 in credit for business, legal and marketing services. Artery also commits to acquiring suitable works by the participating artists for its capsule collection, creating an additional revenue channel beyond the stipend itself.
Applicants are assessed across six areas: active practice, public engagement, portfolio, career goals, the alignment of their needs and goals with the programme, and their openness and readiness to engage with it. The submission package requires a CV and portfolio, three artwork samples with title, year, medium, dimensions, price and a 100 to 200-word description for each work, links to a website, online portfolio or social media, up to two references, employment details, and written answers to questions about artistic practice, exhibition history, current needs as an early-career artist and goals for the programme.
Applications open on 13 October and close on 24 November 2026 at 8pm Singapore time. The six selected artists will be announced on 1 February 2027, making the programme one of the most substantial long-term support structures for emerging artists in Singapore's independent art ecosystem.
