Collector cars kept finding buyers in Paris despite a tense weekend in the city. Artcurial Motorcars' annual Automobiles sur les Champs auction, held on Sunday, October 25, achieved total proceeds of €8,770,239, with four out of five lots sold.

Conducted by auctioneer Anne-Claire Mandine alongside Pierre Novikoff and Matthieu Lamoure, the sale followed a two-day exhibition on October 24 and 25 in the Artcurial garage. The top lot was a 2006 Porsche Carrera GT showing just 7,300 kilometres on the odometer, which sold for €2,625,000, above its €1.9 million to €2.5 million estimate. Behind it came a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing from the Guido Hommel collection, previously owned by racing driver Klaus Ludwig, at €1,624,800, above its €1.1 million to €1.5 million estimate. A 2001 Ferrari 550 Barchetta Pininfarina with fewer than 13,700 kilometres from new completed the top three at €667,520, just above its €650,000 high estimate.

Further down the results, a 1972 Dino 246 GTS made €488,720 and a 1971 Dino 246 GT delivered new by Charles Pozzi reached €369,520, while a 2010 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG sold for €238,400. The automobilia section added smaller highlights, including a limited-edition Ferrari volume published by Taschen and designed by Marc Newson at €28,267.

Artcurial said the motor sale formed part of a €30 million weekend across its three art auctions and the car sale, with brisk bidding in the room and online. The house now turns to Paris Car Week in February 2027, when it will stage its Automobile Legends sale followed by a sale devoted to the Thierry Dehaeck collection.
