ART SG has locked in its fifth edition for January 22–24, 2027 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, timed once again with Singapore Art Week, and revealed the program that will accompany Southeast Asia's leading international fair.

The standout off-site project is an 11-day exhibition at 72-13 by Thai conceptual artist Pinaree Sanpitak, organised in collaboration with Sydney's Artspace. Sanpitak's long-running practice — rooted in craft, food culture and the body — has made her one of Thailand's most internationally visible contemporary artists, and the presentation extends ART SG's effort to stage projects beyond the fair floor.

Several established initiatives return for 2027. The Singapore Art Museum's acquisitive SAM ART SG Fund, valued at SGD 250,000 (around USD 195,600), continues to build the national collection through fair purchases, while the USD 10,000 ART SG FUTURES Prize remains dedicated to an emerging artist exhibiting in the FUTURES sector. The TVS Initiative for Indian and South Asian Contemporary Art also returns, keeping practitioners from the subcontinent in the fair's spotlight.

SEA Focus, the dedicated Southeast Asian fair curated by John Tung, will be co-located at Marina Bay Sands for a second consecutive year. Its ninth edition carries the theme 'Better Worlds,' spotlighting artists and galleries from across the region.

ART SG co-founder Magnus Renfrew said the team looked forward to welcoming the global art community back to Singapore in January and celebrating another chapter in the city's contemporary art landscape. The fair's save-the-date announcement earlier this month confirmed tickets are already on sale for the 2027 edition.
